The original music and sound effects for Dark Commandos is created by Steve Salani in his Santa Monica studio. Steve has been working within the music and entertainment industry for over 15 years, and was part of the original team that developed the MIDI standard in the early 1980's. In recent years Steve has been producing original music and sound design for a wide range of projects, including feature films, television, and internet/multimedia projects.

To create the music and sound effects for Dark Commandos, Steve relies on two Macintosh computers (G3 and G4) plus software and hardware products from MOTU, Bitheadz, Yamaha, Kurzweil, Mackie, and Lexicon. A large custom-built analog synthesizer is also used to create some of the complex sound effects used in the show.
